The building is situated in Upington. The property was acquired from the Rabkin family in 2015. Mr Rabkin traded in jewellery from the original premises for many decades. In 2015, Usentra received permission in terms of the National Heritage and Resources Act to demolish the old buildings. The newly constructed building on the plot was done mainly in an effort to provide parking for the adjacent, Oranjezicht building. The new building consists of a retail shop as well as 16 parking bays on the lower ground level.
