The building is centrally located on the main trading street, within the CBD of Upington. The Gordonia Hotel was a landmark on this site for many years until demolishment in the early 1980’s.

The existing building was developed by Pretoria Municipal Pension Fund and acquired by this company from Gordonia Eiendoms Ontwikkeling (Pty) Ltd in 2002. After acquiring the property it was expanded during 2010 to its current size.
